VISX® CustomVue™ Wavefront
VISX® CustomVue™ is a state-of-the-art technology, which allows our doctors to perform an operation with enhanced precision and accuracy. Unlike traditional procedures, which relies on standardized measurements, VISX® CustomVue™ uses wavefront technology to generate a detailed map of each patient’s individual eyeball. Using this three-dimensional image, the ophthalmologist creates a customized surgical plan that specifically addresses the characteristics unique to each patient’s refractive error. VISX®, the manufacturers of CustomVue™, reports outstanding results nationwide: 100 percent of patients see well enough to pass a driver’s test, and 98 percent achieve 20/20 vision or better.

ReSTOR® Lens
We are proud to offer ReSTOR® Lens, a revolutionary development in intraocular lens (IOL) technology. Our doctors have already successfully implemented this technology at our comprehensive care and ocular centers serving Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, the entire Hampton Roads area and beyond.
Traditionally, patients who undergo surgical treatments to correct these disorders must wear spectacles or contact lenses. ReSTOR® lens is a multifocal IOL that may allow patients to see images at close, intermediate, or far distances without the aid of spectacles. Unlike conventional IOLs, ReSTOR® lens uses a unique process called apodized diffractive optics, which distributes light across the lens according to the size of the pupil.
